The year of 2011 again, I bet, will be another great year for watch making. SIHH 2011 has seen a lot of amazing creations from those big brands, including Richard Mille. Recently Richard Mille has presented its new Caliber Extra Flat Automatic RM 033 watch.
This new Richard Mille watch has got something rather distinguished. Unlike other Richard Mille models, this one has a case in round shape that is remarkably thin. It is 45.7mm in diameter, sculptured in titanium, 18k white gold or red gold. The case is 6.3mm deep.
Animating this timepiece is the caliber RMXP1, a skeletonized automatic-winding movement, which just measures 2.6mm thick. To create such a remarkably thin movement, they positioned the automatic-winding micro rotor off-center. The rotor is made of solid platinum and has bi-directional winding. This amazing 29-jewel movement, operating at the frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, offers 42 hours of power reserve. It has successfully incorporated a free sprung balance with variable inertia for high reliability when subjected to shock and enhanced precision over time. And you can find four small adjustable weights on the balance, to allow more accurate and repeatable adjustment.
The case construction is fitted with 16 titanium spline screws and stainless steel abrasion resistant washers. 30-meter water-resistant, the case-back of this RM 033 watch features the signature Richard Mille curving. The tripartite case construction features integrated lugs and, fitted with two Nitril O-ring seals.
Surely such an awesome timepiece will never come with an amiable price tag. For people who are not so rich, high quality replica Richard Mille watches will be the greatest option.
